The partnership between THOMASNET.com (formerly the Thomas Register), a company that is more than 100 years old, and Dunn & Bradstreet (a company that is more than 150 years old) to protect supply chains against disruption due to unforeseen risks, is a potential game changer.

Sure, there are other notable stories including the emergence of distributed ledgers and their impact on the procurement world, as well as a few potentially notable “turn-the-corner” stories regarding long-time service providers who have never been able to get beyond a “one hit wonder” status.
