In an effort to continue building on the growing success of their eVA program, the Commonwealth of Virginia published the first issue of their new e-newsletter eVA Connections.

Leading with a catchy and yes timely front page headline eVA: Connecting Small Business To Virginia Government Contracting, the e-newsletter is focused on bringing “together the businesses, state and local government buyers, other public bodies, and various public service officials, who contribute to eVA’s success.”

Far from being the self-congratulatory, self-promoting PR pieces that have collectively numbed a wary public, “Connections” once again demonstrates the collaborative effort that has been a critical element of the Virginia program since eVA was first launched in 2001.

Published by the Bureau of e-Procurement, Division of Purchases and Supply and the Department of General Services, eVA Connections promises to “highlight various eVA tools, users, and experiences in celebration of the value that e-procurement brings to the Commonwealth.”
