So Act . . . Because There is a Place for Us!

Some things cannot be explained or reasoned intellectually, you have to FEEL IT!

As a writer one is very much familiar with the term that the pen is mightier than the sword . . . but not always.

The deeper I get into writing my second book about the So Act Network, the more it pulls out of me the core elements of what I believe and ultimately aspire to be.

It was funny though that this video, and the tangible imagery contained within its virtual frames did not really come together until a brief discussion last evening.

The person with whom I was speaking is a woman who is actively involved with social change and yet like So Act Founder Greg Halpern, she did not lament the absence of money as being a major obstacle. Instead, it was the absence of ideas and a willingness, perhaps courage to take action.

In this regard I was reminded of the heartfelt eloquence of Edward Kennedy’s sorrowful eulogy for his brother Bobby; “some men see things the way they are and ask, why? I dream things that never were, and ask why not?”

Of course George Bernard Shaw was the original author of those words, but the meaning and impact resonates well beyond any one person. It is a call to action for all of us.  Join So Act Today!

I hope you enjoy the video and, when it is released in February 2010, the book.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
