Over the past year I have enjoyed every opportunity I have had to interact with IACCM, and in particular its CEO Tim Cummins.
From numerous guest panel appearances on the PI Window on Business Show, to Live Event Feeds I have found that the association is consistently in sync with the changing dynamics of the increasingly globalized market.
I recently received an e-mail from IACCM providing a link to an interesting white paper titled “The 9 Reasons Procurements Fail.”
Besides discovering that the paper’s author was also a Procurement Insights Sponsor (SRS Inc.) – it is indeed a small world – the subject matter was of particular interest given the fact that most organizations (especially within the public sector) are experiencing a sharp decline in supplier response to RFPs.
Focusing on the company’s new RFPBlaster Solution, which promises to provide buyers with “the fastest, most efficient way to create a world class IT RFP,” I wondered how this paper would address the challenges associated with estimates that “over 70% of IT procurements (including outsourcings) fail to achieve their objectives as envisaged at the outset.”
IT is an interesting paper to say the least, and one in which I am more than happy to share with you through the following link “Nine Top Reasons Procurements Fail.”
Once you have had the opportunity to read it, and if you are so inclined, feel free to share your comments through this blog.
