Rob Handfield said that digital transformation is impossible without clean data. Rob’s words resonate with me based on my 40-plus years in high-tech and almost as long in procurement. In short, data is the key to unlocking the full digital promise for procurement, which is why Palantir’s event interests me, and why I think it will be of interest to you. (Thank you for letting me know about this, Joseph Yacura – M.B.A., M.S., M.Q.M.)

Before Joe told me the other day about the company and their upcoming event, Seeing the Unseen in Your Supply Chain: Managing Risk & Driving Revenue, I had never heard of Palantir. So, I did a little preliminary homework and discovered the following:

Palantir Technologies – a public American software company, “provides organizations with solutions for managing disparate data sets to achieve operational objectives.” Founded by Peter Thiel, Nathan Gettings, Joe Lonsdale, Stephen Cohen, and Alex Karp in 2003, Palantir “sells software and services to corporations and governments seeking to solve problems using data analysis” by offering the following products: Foundry, Gotham and Apollo.

Check out the March 3rd, 2022 Benzinga article How Does Palantir Technologies Make Money? for more info on the company. Also, check out this Forbes article on what they refer to as one of “Silicon Valley’s most closely guarded companies.”

In the meantime, and after you spend 60-minutes with me at 11:00 AM ET, when I will be moderating the panel discussion Where’s The Beef! Shrinkflation’s Impact on Procurement’s Value Proposition, you can then join the Palantir LinkedIn event at 2:30 PM ET. Talk about a day filled with important insights 8)
