An unrelated personal story . . .
In the late 60s, my father suffered his first heart attack. As part of the recovery, he was advised to quit smoking obviously. However, he was also advised to change his diet, including using margarine instead of butter and drinking decaf coffee (Sanka) instead of regular coffee.
Years later, we discovered that margarine was more harmful to heart patients than butter and that the chemicals used in the decaffeination process were more detrimental to heart health than regular coffee.
Are we heading down a similar path with the go green initiative – which I support?
