So, here is the dumb question of the day – ready for it:

What does this mean for the practitioners on the other side of the table who are still struggling with 80% or higher initiative failure rates?

Over the past five decades, I have seen the ebbs and flows, bubbles and bursts on the solution provider side – see my latest post below – https://bit.ly/4cp8yJ3

The only constant I have seen is that 80% of initiatives fail—be it the ERP era, the SaaS era, whatever digital transformation entailed, or now AI, or, excuse me, GenAI.

It is almost as if the provider side is playing poker with the practitioner’s money – and they are not very good poker players. What am I missing?
