If you ignore their technology, what should you look for in a solution provider?

I read the above-referenced article, and here is my observation:

Has the author said anything regarding predictive analytics, collaborative supplier networks, optimized inventory management, risk management, and automation that you have yet to hear?

Most of us would answer No to that question. So, why do you think you should read this article versus the multitude of others offering similar advice (or ChatGPT* – I did)?

To answer that question, you’ll need to look behind the text to meet its author and their organization – Focal Point. In the meantime, here are a few insights from my 40-plus years in high-tech and procurement regarding one of the previously mentioned four points:

Before considering their technology, I look for industry expertise and understanding in a solution provider. What do you know about Focal Point?

• What would warrant you spending your valuable time talking with them about you and your challenges and priorities?
• Alternatively, what would prevent you from wanting to talk with them about you and your challenges and priorities?
