An Example of A Frontend Functional SolutionProvider
Here are my high-level comments about the Globality offering:
From what I saw, it is an excellent application, but nothing unique compared to what I have seen in many other demos. There is a component or element that can read text and allow the buying group to consolidate and coordinate the information it uses – think of it as a Globality version of ChatGPT.
It is rudimentary when it comes to MRO procurement and auctions, including tracking and measuring fulfillment capabilities for future orders. I don’t quite understand this because, in the era of GenAI, the self-learning algorithms I used to develop my platform in the 1990s and early 2000s would be much better used in the present-day platform.
While recognizing the role of other stakeholders within and outside the enterprise, the specifics regarding actual adoption and utilization level were minimal.
It was a good preliminary demo, but there was a minimal WOW factor because, other than the logo and graphics, I couldn’t distinguish it from other solution provider demos.
Based on my findings, the Globality solution was built using a “Horizontal Stacking Development Framework,” making it one of the many “frontend functional solutions.”
The following slide – which was presented in the Globality demo, illustrates what I mean by a Horizontal Stacking Development Framework “HSDF” for those who aren’t entirely fed up with acronyms:
In a future post, I will discuss the self-learning algorithm gap caused by using the HSDF model.
An Example of An AI Operating System Provider
The following is an excerpt from an actual demo by a ProcureTech solution provider, Focal Point. The demo started after a 33-minute introduction and assessment process to determine whether seeing a demo was warranted.
As you will see, the demonstration begins with the Focal Point Procurement Engine, e.g., Orchestration and Data Layers. The utilization of AI isn’t mentioned until later in the demo. Here is the link to an earlier Procurement Insights post explaining why I consider this important: The first solution provider to mention AI loses!
The following slide, presented in the Focus Point demo, illustrates what I mean by an Intelligent Vertical Integration Framework “IVIF.”
Although I briefly discuss how the IVIF enables you to optimize using the self-learning algorithms within an AI-driven architecture, the following video highlights the extended stakeholder or agent impact beyond the procurement department. That is the big “differentiator” between a frontend functional solution provider (Globality) and an AI Operating System Provider (Focal Point).

Last month, I posted the article Globality Demo > The Road to the ProcureTech Cup: Episode 25-06, where I provided a fair assessment. Here is the link to that article, which includes the actual demonstration video.
