So, What Is A ProcureTech Influencer?
- A “true influencer” is driven by a single purpose – to get it right versus being right.
- Between 2009 and 2019, I aired 900 shows on BlogTalkRadio. Based on that experience, I define an influencer as someone who never seeks consensus but stimulates meaningful dialogue, leading to greater individual and collective understanding.
- An influencer builds a community of active engagement beyond token gestures of likes and thumbs up. (During an interview, Tim Cummins told me that no matter how many people are members of an association, only 5% are actively involved, e.g., engaged. Ten percent are moderately involved, while 85% are little more than names in a Rolodex.)
- An influencer actively looks to build a diverse community that challenges them and other members to think differently and see a subject or issue through a wider lens.
- An influencer is insatiably curious and always open to new ways of thinking and doing things.
- An influencer is someone who has been around long enough to witness first-hand the events that create the context needed to understand how we got to where we are today.
- Finally, an influencer stimulates thoughts and ideas, leading to practical and measurable outcomes.
Based on the above seven points, are you an influencer?
