I recently took the time to read the program from one of my speaking engagements in which the perfunctory “Speakers Bio” on your’s truly was included. As a keynote speaker they even provided my photo . . . I really do have more hair in person. Oh yes, and I am taller as well. In fact, come to think of it I do look a little like George Clooney! Yea, that’s the ticket!
Referencing the lyrics from the famous John Lennon song in which he proclaims that “Life is what happens to you, while you’re busy making other plans,” I was somewhat surprised to find that I had written more than 200 articles and papers “on subjects ranging from supply chain optimization and the utilization of agent-based modeling in the software development process to the evolution of sustainable purchasing practices and the impact of traditional ERP-centric implementation methodologies on the high rate of supply chain initiative failures.” Whew!
Thankfully a good deal of my past research was funded by the Government’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development “SR&ED” Program, which led to a number of breakthrough findings such as the existence of two distinct commodity characteristics (refer to my Acres of Diamonds paper for more details), and the practical utilization of synchronized platforms in achieving what I had referred to as “sustainable coordinated savings.”
These as well as other insights have, at least according to my readership, helped me to consistently write thought provoking and informative papers which I am now pleased to make available to you through our new Procurement Insights Supply Chain Resource Library.
For the nominal annual fee of $25 US, you will gain unlimited access to papers that originally sold for $300 to $750 US. And with library resources growing at a rapid pace, we will also be introducing specially commissioned papers and research material that even topped the $2,500 level.
All in all, it is my hope that by sharing both the experience and expertise I have garnered over the years, I will in some way inspire you to think outside of the framework of that with which you are most familiar, and help you to enthusiastically embrace the new and exciting challenges associated with what I consider to be one the best professions . . . the modern “globalized” supply chain professional.
