When Next Level Purchasing founder and visionary Charles Dominick appeared as part of a guest panel in the 2-Part series “Is The Traditional Association Model Dead?” it was clear that he grasped the significance of the changing landscape in terms of professional development and insights.

In his thoughtful and diplomatic manner, Dominick pointed out the current challenges associated with traditional associations, and in particular the dissemination of information that reflected the realities of the rapidly dissolving functional silos that had for so long both defined and confined the industry.

Not one to offer baseless opinions, or provide commentary without taking substantive action relative to his own service offering, Dominick continues to focus on his organization’s proactive relevancy.  This was demonstrated earlier this week with Next Level Purchasing’s announcement that they have introduced a free lifetime training service that enables (perhaps empowers would be a more appropriate word) purchasing professionals to improve their skills and career opportunities.

Helping Purchasers Become Indispensable

Providing all “past, current and future students” with the ability to access and utilize “the tools and processes which they learn through Next Level Purchasing’s training” both today and into the future, this is the ultimate knowledge maintenance program.  Given the ongoing challenges with the economy, one that many fear will continue based on trends cited in articles such as today’s New York Times which indicated that housing contracts fell 16% in November versus the anticipated 2%, increasing one’s value to their organization through progressive expertise development is not optional.

In fact cultivating and demonstrating your expertise to your current employer is actually an essential element of building an effective personal brand, and thereby reducing the risk of ending-up on the unemployment line.

In this world of increasing job uncertainty, Next Level Purchasing’s outside the box approach to “Helping Purchasers Become Indispensable” is not merely a nifty catch phrase.
