- Most – not all, mind you, but most emails I receive have AI somewhere in the headline or subject field. Here are a couple that found their way into my inbox in the past couple of hours:

It is safe to say that AI in 2024 is as popular a term or buzzword as SaaS in 2005 and supplier diversity in 1995. (Fun side project suggestion – enter the following phrase in ChatGPT: ProcureTech buzzwords 1995 to 2025.)
So, what is my takeaway from the above observations?
The earlier a solution provider mentions AI in a demo or discussion, is a warning sign – move on to another solution provider.
