Here are my thoughts:

AI is a resource tool, no different from Funk & Wagnalls, library microfiche, Yahoo, and Google. In short, it is not a manual of indigenous wisdom, but a resource for the learning and confirmation that, once filtered through human critical thinking, becomes useful.

I cannot count the number of times I posed a question to one AI platform or another, only to have it respond, “That’s an excellent question,” or “I never thought of it in that context.”

The greatest danger or threat of AI is when people believe in the omnipotence of its knowledge, blindly yielding to its output as divine proclamation, and instead of challenging it, surrender their ideas and, in essence, intellect without question.

It is a great tool to be sure, as I no longer need to lick my fingertips to turn a voluminous number of pages to access the nugget of insight I am seeking, or wade through the manipulated algorithms of Google Panda to uncover the facts.
