Whenever I cover a story, I do not seek an outcome one way or the other, I simply pursue the truth and follow where it leads.
For example, and as is the case with every story I cover, with the Santa Clara County KPMG controversy, I would be no less pleased to discover that they have done everything right as opposed to not. As a result, I am not invested in proving a conclusion but objectively seeking the insight that is necessary to reach one that reflects the truth and makes sense. In other words, with the former, you fall into the trap of being more focused on being right, as opposed to the latter, getting it right.
