Digital maturity is a crucial milestone that organizations worldwide are striving to achieve. But what exactly is digital maturity, and how can your organization achieve it? – Eric Kimberling, LinkedIn (July 30th, 2024)

Digital maturity or digital readiness doesn’t start with technology – it has little to do with tech savviness.

Here is an excerpt from an article – https://bit.ly/3FBnFRr

“When I am asked what I think about the “evergreen” evolution of high-tech computing, my answer has always been the same—it’s not about the technology but the problems it solves. In other words, as great as the tech may be, it means nothing if it doesn’t come after people and process understanding.

When organizations make the mistake of leading with technology, they are bending their people and processes around an equation-based model approach in which the tech is the driver for success.

When you lead with people and process understanding – an agent-based model, technology moves from a functional driver to a problem-solving tool that streamlines and delivers efficiencies and tangible results.”

AI and advanced algorithms have been around for a long time. They are nothing new in the tech world. In the late 1990s, with funding from the government’s Scientific Research and Experimental Development program, I created an MRO procurement platform for the DND using an agent-based approach within a nascent AI framework.

What worked in the late 1990s will work today and tomorrow and beyond!
