This post by Iain Campbell McKenna raises some interesting questions – where does AI end and humans begin in the hiring process?
How would you feel having AI – with no human involvement- on the part of the hiring company assessing your skills and capabilities via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other platform?
Things to consider before answering that question:
- Depending on position, between 40% and 60% (median 50 percent) of all new hires leave after 18 months, including management-level positions.
- According to a September 2022 survey, 78 percent of employees want to work from home, which means communicating “remotely” is the new normal.
- According to a June 2021 article, 61.4 percent of procurement professionals work from home, while 23.1 percent indicate that they only visit the office “once in a while.”
Given the above, I will again ask you: How would you feel having AI – with no human involvement- on the part of the hiring company assessing your skills and capabilities via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or any other platform? Click the image below to access Campbell-McKenna’s post.
