As with any post, I never seek consensus, only meaningful dialogue that satisfies one of my main objectives being “I would rather get it right than be right!”
To that end, I am going to share the following excerpt from just one of the many comments within a growing discussion stream on LinkedIn.
Transitioning from a static solution provider map to a dynamic analyst solution map where analysts actively curate and track a select group of providers could revolutionize how we understand and engage with the ESG landscape. This approach not only highlights the analysts’ expertise and accountability but also encourages a deeper, more informed interaction with the market. By focusing on the performance and developments of their chosen providers, analysts can offer more precise and strategic insights, which could greatly benefit decision-making processes in procurement. This model indeed introduces an exciting, competitive edge to procurement analysis, reminiscent of fantasy sports, where the stakes and rewards reflect the analyst’s acumen in selecting and managing their lineup.
Analyst expertise needs to evolve from conceptual advice to tangible outcomes. More to the point, we analysts—all of us—have to roll up our sleeves and get in the frontline trenches, where we work with practitioners and providers to achieve optimal outcomes.
Let’s face it, the following “numbers” don’t cut it!
“Gartner states that 85% of AI projects fail due to unclear objectives and obscure R&D project management processes. Also, 87% of R&D projects never get to the production phase, while 70% of clients indicated minimal or even no impact from AI. Nov 6, 2023″ – Neurons Lab

Well, that’s exactly what one should expect from 𝐀rtificial 𝐈diocy! 😝
Michael Lamoureux: That’s it. I am choosing my Top 10 and will stake my reputation on them to deliver tangible results, and it won’t be based solely on their AI technology.
You know what is really interesting, Michael – 10 years from now, we will be looking at current-day tech with the same dismissive attitude we now have toward floppy disks, 10GB hard drives, green screens, and dot matrix printers.
Success has never been about tech. It never was and never will be.

As with any post, I never seek consensus, only meaningful dialogue that satisfies one of my main objectives being “I would rather get it right than be right!”
To that end, I am going to share the following excerpt from just one of the many comments within a growing discussion stream on LinkedIn.

I agree with you 💯percent, Chris Smith, MBA, PMP.
