Here Are My Thoughts
The emphasis on change management resulted from the insistence on utilizing an equation-based implementation model, which is why 80% of all initiatives have failed over the last five decades. I am talking about generational failure regardless of the technology.
Using an agent-based model, technology is relegated to a supporting versus leading role behind people and processes. On a side note, this model eliminates maverick spend and the artificial need for vendor rationalization.
When I created my self-learning algorithm nascent AI platform in the late 1990s and early 2000s, I used an agent-based model for the web-based procurement of MRO products to support the Department of National Defence IT infrastructure. You can read about it here: https://bit.ly/3FBnFRr. Change management was minimized within the procurement department and with extended stakeholders, e.g., agents, both internally and externally. The results tell a powerful story. The Commonwealth of Virginia‘s eVA initiative is another success story worth noting.
