WYSIWYG—What You See Is What You Get—is a high-tech term that dates back to 1974. I first heard the term very early in my career when Apple introduced the Lisa and then the Mac.
I am happy that WYSIWYG is still alive and well in 2024. One example is the recent demo I was asked to see for the Forestreet platform. When I announced at the beginning of the video that I would be recording the demo and explained why, here was the response:
“Cool. Yeah, of course. I’ll share my screen and I’ll start right at the beginning, whenever you want to.”
That is all I will write, so let’s go straight to the demo. I look forward to your feedback.
