Is Agentic AI one shiny link in a rusty chain?

We must stop analyzing tech jargon and instead focus on practical, human-led, agent-based modeling. When I say agent-based, I am not talking about Agentic AI; I am talking about human agents or stakeholders both within and external to an organization.

If we don’t correctly understand how humans interact and their specific objectives, then we cannot adequately train Agentic AI to do what we cannot do ourselves.

My biggest concern is that the Agentic AI hype can give people the impression that the technology will learn to do the right thing from a poor or inefficient human process. In the early days of personal computers, there was a phrase that still rings true today – “garbage in – garbage out.”

In my DND case study video, I discussed the importance of asking the right first question: What time do your orders usually come in? This introduced me to the disconnect between the service department stakeholders and agents. – https://bit.ly/42xrUdI

In short, humans are the true architects of our success; AI is merely the enabler of our ability to do more faster with fewer resources reliably. If human architecture is disconnected and incomplete, no technology from the past, present, or future can fix it, regardless of its power and capabilities or the “shine” of its promise.
