What you are talking about is a human-led, Agent-based Metaprise model, and it is exciting because it is based on a theory I developed in the late 1990s called “strand commonality.”
Based on the above theory, the Government of Canada’s Scientific Research & Experimental Development program (SR&ED) funded my development of a self-learning algorithm MRO procurement solution within a nascent AI framework to support the Department of National Defence’s IT infrastructure.
Here is a brief video on that work – https://youtu.be/49BS-MkGoak
I made the mistake of selling my company for $12 million in 2001. Still, I have spoken and written extensively about what you are talking about, and I am delighted that 25 years later, it is manifesting in the realization that procurement success is based on real-world communication and collaboration between key stakeholders both within and external to the enterprise, leveraging technology rather than letting technology define our processes and interactions.
Thank you for sharing this with me, Don Osborn.
