Gartner’s AI Agent Bridge Reminds Me Of London Bridge

“London Bridge Is Falling Down” is likely a reflection of the bridge’s long and storied history, including its construction challenges and various reconstructions over the centuries. Whether inspired by Viking attacks, structural decay, or economic symbolism, the rhyme serves as a reminder of London’s ever-evolving infrastructure and the passage of time.

The Gartner Version of London Bridge

I will share the link to the Gartner post with you, followed by my comment, the latter of which explains my London Bridge analogy.

MY COMMENT

Here is an excerpt from a recent Procurement Insights post – https://bit.ly/3PxqTdJ

“Do you see the seemingly subtle yet critical differences between using a technology-led Agentic AI model and a human-led Agent-based model?”

Without using strand commonality within an agent-based development and implementation model, AI, Generative AI, or Agentic AI integration into the procurement process will fail! – https://bit.ly/3PGKVms

We must be careful not to confuse tech-led Equation-Based Agentic AI with human-led Agent-Based solution development and implementation. If we fail to recognize the difference, the high generational failure rates of tech-led initiatives of the past four decades will continue well into the future.

THE TAKEAWAY

Experiencing the ERP eraGartner’s PostModern ERP Era and Deloitte’s 2019 CPO Survey stating that the “Digital transformation of procurement is a bust.” Maybe instead of rebuilding technology bridges, we should focus on building better human-led agent-based bridges of communication and collaboration (see video below).
